Spectator Guidelines

Spectators and companions are permitted on the course unless otherwise stated by the Tournament Committee.

All spectators must respect the integrity of the competition and must not interfere with play in any way.

The primary role of spectators is observation only. No form of assistance is allowed during competition rounds.

Caddies are not permitted in PT Junior Tour events unless explicitly authorized in the specific event regulations.

Spectators and companions are strictly prohibited from acting as caddies at any time during competition rounds.

No advice of any kind (including club selection, strategy, or reading of greens) may be given to players during competition rounds.

Any breach of this rule may result in penalties to the player in accordance with the Rules of Golf.

During official practice rounds, limited interaction between players and companions is permitted.

Caddieing is allowed during practice rounds unless otherwise stated by the Tournament Committee.

The Tournament Committee may restrict access or participation in practice rounds if necessary.

Spectators and companions may:

• Walk the course while maintaining a respectful distance from players.
• Assist pace of play by positioning themselves outside the playing lines when appropriate.
• Act as forecaddies when requested by officials.
• Indicate ball location using non-verbal signals when appropriate and without interfering with play.
• Provide food, drinks, or medical assistance if necessary.
• Applaud and acknowledge good shots in a respectful manner.

Spectators and companions must not:

• Walk directly alongside players during shots.
• Engage in coaching, advice, or strategic communication.
• Interfere with other players or groups.
• Use mobile phones in a disruptive manner.
• Enter greens, teeing areas, or restricted zones.
• Use golf carts unless explicitly authorized by the Tournament Committee.

Spectators must maintain a reasonable distance from players at all times.

Conversations with players must be limited and must not influence play.

The Tournament Committee may remove any spectator who causes disruption or violates these rules.

Players are responsible for ensuring that their companions comply with these guidelines.

Any violation by a spectator or companion may result in penalties to the player, including warning, general penalty, or disqualification under the Rules of Golf.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to remove any spectator or companion from the course at any time.

The Tournament Committee has full authority over spectator behaviour and enforcement of these guidelines.

All decisions made by the Committee are final.
